Leonard Cohen at The Big Chill

Leonard Cohen at The Big Chill

After a 15 year break from touring, the legendary Leonard Cohen returned to the stages of the world with his comeback tour, including a highly anticipated gig at The Big Chill. I was the visual director for the set, working alongside Mr Cohen’s manager to ensure that the huge crowds at the concert were treated to a visual spectacle as well as the inevitable musical mastery.

6 cameras were used to capture every nuance of the performance, all under my live direction and vision mixing.

For me, this was one of those moments in life when I realised that I was in the middle of something epic and I’m pleased to say that the whole 90-minute set went without a hitch! I worked with The Big Chill for 4 years, with some incredible moments along the way, but my memory of a particularly hair-tingling¬† moment during Hallelujah is the best moment of them all.
